How to share your schedule with Jim Davies

Page history last edited by Jim Davies 6 years, 3 months ago

This is important because Jim has many students, and having all of their calendars shared with him makes it easy to visually see who is free when. Please have this done by the end of the second week of every semester unless another due date is given.

Navigate to the google calendar page:

     http://calendar.google.com/

If you don't have a google account, create one. If you have already created a calendar to share with Jim, just update that one.

If you don't want to share your personal calendar, you can create a new one just to share with Jim.

Please put your full name somewhere in the calendar's name so Jim will know whose calendar it is.

Starting with the current week,

Put in repeating events till the end of the semester

So that Jim Davies can see when you're busy.

Put in your conflicts, not your free time. The free time should appear blank.

You may but need not put in single events. If you have to miss a meeting one week that's fine.We can skip or reschedule.

When you are done, share the calendar with Jim Davies (jim.davies@gmail.com)

To do this, see the box on the left of "My Calendars."

The things you've created are in one of them.

On the right is a down arrow that is a drop down menu. Click it.

Select the "share this calendar" option and enter jim.davies@gmail.com.

Jim will use this calendar to find times for individual meetings and general lab meetings.

If you are a graduate student or an honours student you must have a weekly meeting.
